Wait a minute! I thought Hyundai made cars. It looks as if they are now in the tablet business as well. The T7 Tablet by Hyundai features the quad core Exynos chip. This is the same processor used in the popular iPhone 5 rival, Samsung Galaxy SIII. Its budget-friendly price of $166 could mean it is made of lesser quality materials, like a plastic frame. However, it boasts a powerful processor and a 7-inch IPS display with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage and a Mali 400 GPU. The T7 also has a micro-HDMI port, micro USB port and, oddly enough, a TF card slot that supports up to 32 GB of storage.
Unfortunately, the camera is still antiquated compared to other tablets having only a 0.3-megazpixel forward-facing camera and a 2-MP rear camera. The tablet has a 3000mAH battery but don’t plan on getting too far away from your charger, Hyundai is only offering a measly 4-hour battery life. The T7 will run on Andriod 4.0 and can access the Google Play Store. Consumers may be able to forgive some of the shortfalls, like short battery life and plastic frame, in exchange for the low cost.
