An unusual September event for Apple: instead of leading with iPhones in September, everyone is expecting iPads and new Apple Watches.

9/15/2020 – Time Flies
1:15pm — Tim Cook kicks off the “Time Flies” event, everyone is excepting new iWatches.
1:20pm — Meet the Apple Watch Series 6
- The new Apple Watch Series 6 features that latest in blood oxygen level monitoring technology. The watch has infrared sensors on the back which scans the color of your blood to determine how much oxygen is flowing through it.
- The Apple Watch Series 6 will also notify you when you are at a higher altitude, to remind you that this could affect your blood oxygen levels.
- New Watch faces and a band style were also revealed
- You can expect the most colorful lineup of Apple Watches yet.
- The Apple Watch Series 6 starts at $399.
- USB power adapters will now have to be purchased separately.
1:45pm — Apple Watch SE — A budget Apple Watch that doesn’t fit everyone’s budget
- The cheaper alternative to the Apple Watch Series 6 is that Watch SE, which costs $279 and is available starting on Friday.
- While it uses a slower chip than the Series 6, it’s still twice as fast as it’s predecessor.
2:00pm — The 8th Generation iPad
- The eighth-generation iPad releases on Friday, with a price tag starting at $329.
- The latest iPad 8 features an “all-day battery”, faster graphics and processing, and the A12 Bionic chip which is “more powerful than ever”.
2:30pm — A new, completely redesigned iPad Air
- The iPad Air 3 will be available at the beginning of next month starting at $599.
- The latest iPad Air features a 10.9-inch screen, a smaller Touch ID sensor, and a new A14 silicone chip which will significantly improve performance according to Apple.
- The iPad Air also has USB-C compatibility, which allows it to connect to a wider variety of non-Apple devices.
- You’ll have 5 different options of color, 3 of them being rose gold, green, and blue.
9/16 iOS 14 — Based on different dates listed on Apple’s website in different countries, the release window for iOS 14 is now between 11:30am-1:00pm Pacific / 2:30pm-4:00pm Eastern
- Cupertino, California: 11:30 a.m. PDT – 1:00 p.m. PDT
- New York, New York: 2:30 p.m. EDT – 4:00 p.m. EDT
- London, United Kingdom: 7:30 p.m. BST – 9:00 p.m. BST
- Delhi, India: 12:00 a.m. IST – 1:30 a.m. IST (Sept 17th)
